Customize Your Own Snapchat Geofilters!

Have you ever wanted to send a Snapchat with a geofilter, but only to find none available to suit your perfect occasion?  Good news: you can now customize your own geofilter for a small price!

Snapchat geofilters are the most favorite among the different filters available on Snapchat, these filters can be applied wherever you are which made Snapchatting an even more fun experience and made every moment even more worthy to be shared.

Ever since they were launched, geofilters have been generally found in cities, neighborhoods or at specific popular locations and were available for free for users  24/7, which was pretty cool until they decided to take geofilters to the next level.

Snapchat introduced on-demand geofilters on its latest blog post, on February 22nd.

Unlike how it was with the older community filters, users now can design their own artwork for their special events, such as weddings and birthday parties, using their preferred image editor. Also, brands and companies are finally allowing to submit a geofilter that features their own logo, which makes it suitable for marketing campaigns and local events.

Snapchat has also provided templates that are compatible with both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. The custom-made filter designs are then uploaded on the new company’s portal.

Once the images are uploaded, there are a few specifications for the custom made filters, which includes them being local, with a minimum geofenced area of 20,000 square feet and expendable up to 5 million square feet. The timing allowed for the filter to be available is at any time between an hour and 30 days.
