The Social Clinic Represents at The Web Summit

The Social Clinic was among the 48 partners of this years’ Web Summit held in Dublin, Ireland between November 3-5 2015.

It’s been called “the best technology conference on the planet”. In 5 years, Web Summit has grown from 400 attendees to over 42,000 from more than 134 countries. Attendees, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to the world’s most exciting startups.

This year, 42,000 people from 134 countries came to Dublin for Web Summit. Almost every major international and local outlet was represented at Web Summit and many sent multiple reporters. The even was received live coverage from CNBC, BBC, France 24, CNN, Bloomberg and many others. The FT, Guardian, WSJ, New York Times, USAToday; the list goes on and on. IMG_2616 The reason why we chose the verb “Represents” in this blog post is because we are proud to have been the only social media agency and social business consultancy globally to make it to the Web Summit this year and was the only organization from Saudi Arabia to be a partner. We represented social media agencies in terms of strategic thinking, agency 2.0, creativity, and content creation. We also were proud to represent Saudi Arabia, and the Middle East, where global stereotypical thoughts suppresses reality.

During the Web Summit, our Founder & Managing Director, Bilal Hallab, was invited to be one of the 50 Brand X members. Brand X are elected by Web Summit management our of the entire 42,000 attendees to discuss, debate, and review marketing strategies, business plans, content development, content globalization, industry shifts, and much more in the form of roundtables and discussions. Other Brand X members included people from LinkedIn, Adidas, DHL, Hailo, Havas Worldwide, Millward Brown, Getty Images, Edelman, Salesforce, Lamborghini, Facebook, Adobe, etc…

We learned quite a lot from the Web Summit and we picked up a few tips and tricks which we will surely be introducing to our partners, clients, and community.
