Twitter Is Down And People Couldn't Handle It!

On Tuesday Morning, January 19th I came to work and as a part of my morning ritual at the office after checking my e-mail of course, I would log onto Twitter. That morning Twitter was down and at first I thought maybe this error message on their page was some kind of a misunderstanding.

Twitter welcomed me with the message:

“Something is technically wrong. Thanks for noticing — we’re going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon.”

It wasn’t the type of welcome I was expecting so at first I didn’t give up, but after trying to refresh the page more than 15 times, I gave up and decided to check my news feed on Facebook instead.

I was both relieved and a little surprised to see the number of people complaining on Facebook about the Twitter outage, people seemed to be using the hashtag #TwitterDown to vent about their annoyance over Instagram and Facebook.

Twitter seemed to have experienced its biggest outage to date, and both their mobile app and website went down for users across the globe.

Since Twitter is known to be the go-to social media platform for micro-blogging and venting, the outage left people no choice but to seek other social media platforms for this purpose.

Now if you’re addicted to Twitter as much as I am, you would know that people tend to open up their hearts to Twitter more than they do to actual human beings.

So what do you do the next time Twitter experiences an outage?

Well you turn to Facebook and Instagram to complain about the popular blue birdy or just go out and hit the gym.
