“Upside Down” Instagram Challenge

In recent years, social media has emerged as a powerful new marketing tool.

Every time we hear about a new fun challenge taking place on social media, and especially on Instagram, the majority of us join in and start posting one photo after another. However, some users take things to another level by becoming the inspiration behind such challenges. They inspire others to capture images as beautifully as they could, and share them with the rest of the world.
Mashable is a global, multi-platform media and happens to be one of the best entertainment blogs known to date. Powered by its own proprietary technology, Mashable is the go-to source for tech, digital culture and entertainment content for its dedicated and influential audience around the globe. They also had a weekly “Photo Challenge” feature that asked Mashable readers to submit their photos based on a particular prompt. The prompts are wide ranging and the challenge encourages readers to submit photos from any type of device and any social media platform.

Recently Mashable was inspired by a bunch of photos that happened to be published on Instagram by various people. The pictures inspired Mashable to host back a community challenge, one that takes place every Saturday morning. In addition, Mashable stated the following on their blog post

“Our community challenges are finally back and better than ever. We will be hosting a new challenge every Saturday morning, so be on the lookout for our weekend photo themes to put your photography skills to the test.”

Their new challenge will take place on the 27th of April, 2016 on a platform that focuses purely on likes and comments. Mashable asked Instagram users to turn their frown upside down this week because they will be challenging users to play but with perspective where their challenge requires taking pictures upside down.

In addition, Mashable mentioned, “Head stands, reflection photos and playful angles are all appreciated.”

They created a hashtag #Mashpics_UpsideDown in support of the challenge, and asked participants to share their “upside down” photos along with the hashtag by Wednesday, April 27th.
